EDWARD & MERRITT

Our story started with a right swipe on a dating app. Or was it a left swipe? Edward never can quite remember. Regardless, the swipe put us on the good side of a Hinge date which was at Bull Creek, a city park and greenbelt in Austin.

After that first day, we were inseparable. Covid-19 was good to us and we spent our first summer swimming by day and cooking together then lounging in a hammock by night. Edward's wine cellar suffered significantly, but our relationship flourished.

It would be 10 months until we went on a "real" date and even more time until we could travel together. We invested in camping gear and made our rounds at the state parks across Texas.

We bonded over our mutual loves for wine, tea, food, our dogs, and all things outdoors. Fast forward five years and many dates and travel together, we returned to our first date spot and Edward popped the question (not without a few puns thrown in).

We currently reside in San Marcos, TX with our dogs, Myla and Maggie. We enjoy our close proximity to the most beautiful river in Texas and still have fun getting in the kitchen together.

Life is good and we are so thrilled to welcome you - who have all been part of our story in some way - to help us kick off this next chapter in our relationship together.
